steamdata March 11, 2010 at 3:08 am

That one was the F1.4 50mm Nikkor

b13visuals March 11, 2010 at 3:27 am

What lens did you use?!

fluorogoat March 11, 2010 at 3:45 am

That settles it. Buying a D90 as soon as the cash is available.

Jologito March 11, 2010 at 4:06 am

oh thanks man. i will try that when i get my hands on these again. :)

try to use mpeg streamclip (its free) for converting the avi s in mov s. Just choose ‘save as’ and choose mov as the format. I had problems with compatibility with premiere pro and fixed it this way. good luck

xXSadSnowflakeXx March 11, 2010 at 6:40 am

yep 7d was better, that rolling shutter is a pain.

1MinDLesS1 March 11, 2010 at 6:44 am

it is HD

matchchuy March 11, 2010 at 6:59 am

pretty nice, very relaxing

Thats true, no manual controls ( iris-W balance, etc.)the video Q i’ts not bad for SD, for details and regular ligthing will work just fine, if you wanna go for HD and manual controls Canon 5D ii Mark it’s just out of this world…..i use nikons but i think this would be my only canon

steamdata March 11, 2010 at 7:46 am

How much is the difference between the GH1 and the Canon 7D ? because I would go for the 7D instead

Leckow March 11, 2010 at 8:45 am

I see. Thank you for your response. After a long research period I decided to buy a Panasonic GH1. In think in video producing it’s the best. It can shoot in 60p. D90 doesnt’t have Autofocus feature but GH1 has. Moreover, GH1 has external mic outputs. You can also check it out.

Anyway, thank again for your response mate. :)

Ok if you want to buy the Nikon for Video production, well it’s a bad idea, go for the Canon 7D. the lens that I have use for that one is the 50mm F1.4.

The result is good because I know my way around with the Nikon but still I have switch to Canon lately because Nikon video is knot that great compare to Canon

Leckow March 11, 2010 at 10:05 am

Hi,

Did you used 18-105 mm VR Lens Kit in this video? I’m also planing to buy a D90 but for video producing. Do you suggest it to me for video producing? As it’s obvious from your video, the results are so good.

nachitochino March 11, 2010 at 10:40 am

What do you want to say with: because Nikon lack of manual control?

Thanks for all

steamdata March 11, 2010 at 10:52 am

This video yes, BUT I bought a Canon because Nikon lack of Manual control. You can check out my other video made with the Canon to compare.

nachitochino March 11, 2010 at 10:59 am

Sorry by my english, but… you filmed this whit the Nikon D90?

I am going to buy this camera, and I am fascinating

steamdata March 11, 2010 at 11:52 am

I have wanted for 1 year for that firmware so I gave up

Procrastinatathor March 11, 2010 at 12:26 pm

But it’s a bit unfortunate that Nikon will NOT fix the D90. Newer models will be made with the fix, but we shouldn’t even hope for a firmware fix. Else, they’re very late…

steamdata March 11, 2010 at 12:36 pm

Nikon got a great lens I had to buy a Zeiss one on the Canon to regain the same quality. I just cross my finger that Nikon will fix couple of problems so I can switch back to Nikon

Procrastinatathor March 11, 2010 at 1:30 pm

But you can lock the exposure on the D90, only, yes it does lack manual controls. You can adjust exposure compensation however, but nothing else.

It’s fine enough for me.

steamdata March 11, 2010 at 1:51 pm

Indeed the only way is to lock the exposure, That is why I have switch to Canon 7D for the Manual control over the video, and the rolling shutter effect that is way les present.
